EMPAC, the political action committee of the State Employees Association of North Carolina (SEANC), today announces the endorsement of Roy Cooper for a second term as Governor of North Carolina.

Throughout his first term, Cooper has shown an eagerness to give state employees a seat at the table and a voice to North Carolina’s working families.

“The unprecedented challenges our state faces demand the strong and steady leadership Governor Cooper demonstrates” said state EMPAC committee chair Mark Dearmon. “It is now more important than ever that we have a Governor who will remain resolute in the face of adversity and uncertainty.”

Cooper’s measured approach to the COVID-19 crisis has solidified our belief that he is the best candidate to lead our state out of the pandemic and protect our state workers on the front lines. We look forward to continue working with the Cooper administration for another four years to enhance the lives of our state employees, retirees and their families.
