Budget, investment authority and SPA bills await governor's action

This week marked the end of a long legislative session. Starting on Sunday night the General Assembly kept up a grueling pace and SEANC lobbyists were there every minute advocating on behalf of public services and the state employees who provide them on topics ranging from the budget, the retirement system and workers' rights. Shortly after midnight, N.C. Senators went home and the House is expected to follow suit today. The General Assembly will return May 14, 2014 for the "short" session.
