I’ve been in SEANC since 1987 when I started my career at Western Carolina University. I became active around 10 years ago because I realized how important it is that there be a voice for state employees. I felt like I could become more active and help be a voice for employees in western North Carolina who sometimes feel like they’re not being heard. I also wanted to help show legislators what an important asset each state employee is.
